I make cosplays (costume play), and needed the dowel rods for a 5'6 3/4" staff with a Sheppard's crook at the end. I bought these to make it myself. I looked at the picture and not at the measurements, which is 100% my fault and not the fault of the company. The bag/box came with ten rods. I tied three rods together and they came to the right size I need. Very easy to cut, I did them with a pair of kitchen scissors - it frays the edges however I'm encasing it with modge podge and then plaster strips, so frayed edges isn't an issue with me. The package came in a week's time. Nicely encased. There was one piece that had a 0.8 inch nick in it. But that is no issue to me. I'm marking it down from five stars to four because of the picture. It makes it seem they are different sizes, however that's not the case.
