These rod are not 100% copper. They are only copper plated. The metal underneath in ferrous and are easily attracted to magnetism which will have an effect on the rods movements. When I first opened the package and attempted to use them I found the rods did not have a pefect 90 degree angle and I had to spend 15 minutes bending them to exact 90 degree angles and getting them to match. I guess you get what you pay for. Also same exact rods are being offered on Ebay for much less. I will be giving them to my kids to play with so if they get banged up it won't matter to me or them. If you are serious about divining or dowsing I suggest you spend the money and get the nice balanced pair with the adjustors and metal ball tips that is being offered on Amazon.
