I have many bottle jacks but was in search of one that can function very well Horizontally (not common for bottle jacks). This one did boast in its specs that it could: "Operates in vertical or horizontal positions.". When I got it...NO WAY....I pumped and it just sat there (like all others). I was disappointed but open minded. I contacted the seller in a professional manor and asked both to return then item and have them remove the text that indicated it operates horrifically. I also mentioned I was open to swap or purchase a bottle jack that actually worked horizontally. Well, low and behold, they processed my return with no problems...and to my surprise shipped me a different jack that boasted on the box that it worked horizontally (I did not see this jack on the web) ...I tried it...and it works GREAT. They did a great job to assure I was a satisfied customer...Kudos!. The jack, for those also interested in jacking (pushing/spreading Horizontally, is the Pittsburgh Automotive 12 Ton Heavy Duty Industrial Hydraulic Bottle Jack. This item is not currently available on amazon, but can be purchased direct from Harbor Tools :[...]. You want Horizontal power - this Jack does the job. PS. I am sure this jack is a great jack in vertical; hence, I have it 3 stars...but since it is 'suppose' to work Horizontal, I have to take it down a couple pegs. Again, Kudos to Harbor Tools, The Pittsburgh Jack and Amazon's great services All that remains is that the description for this jack be updated to remove horizontal functionality and Amazon to make the Pittsburgh one available on their site:)
