The old oven ignitor was still lighting up , but it was not getting hot enough to fire up the oven. I replaced it with this new one and the oven fired up immediately. Even though my broiler was firing up , it took a while for the flames to start up , so i replaced both the oven and broiler ignitor at the same time and now they both fire up immediately. More likley than not if your oven or broiler will not fire up , the ignitor is the problem
