These magnets are very powerful indeed as said in the items description. So powerful in fact that when I finally got the magnets I started to mess around with them and broke the magnets from the magnetic attraction. I held the magnets apart from each other while still holding onto both and then let both of them go and when f did the two magnets came towards each other and broke. Another example of how powerful they are is that when I held my five fingers between the two magnets while they are attracting to each other it feels as if the magnets were crushing my fingers. If I'd had one finger between the two magnets then my finger would probably have gotten smashed or flattened from the magnetic pressure. And also when the magnets are together its nearly hard to probably impossible without some equipment to take them apart from each other. The magnetic poles is not at the ends of the magnet but on the sides. I wouldn't recommend getting these magnets if your going to play around with them. They are not toys and they are really dangerous. I recommend caution when handling them. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Rare Earth Magnet 4" x 1/2" x 1/2" Strong Neodymium Block N42" are high quality item.
