I mounted this well-built guard on my 20-year-old 14" Delta band saw. My previous saw upgrades included a riser block and roller guides, and these left more blade exposed than I was comfortable with. This guard mounts easily enough to the top door, but take care that the mounting nuts inside the door don't interfere with the spinning wheel. The clever support arm utilizes a cable inside a series of precisely-machined ball-and-socket segments. When the cable is slightly slack, the segments allow you to position the Plexiglas guard wherever you like. Tightening the upper knob pulls the cable taut, locking the segments together quite securely. This means it's quick and easy to reposition the guard: just loosen the knob, position the guard where you want it in three dimensions, and tighten the knob. The nearly infinite range of positions allows you to easily place the guard for maximum protection and visibility. Also, since it's mounted to the upper door, it naturally pivots out of the way when you open the door to change blades, and is automatically back in position when you close the door. Made in USA.
