This review only goes so far. I have yet to use the product yet.... but it's my back up winch for offroading, and I don't foresee the day when I will actually use it. So, that being said, it's very hefty, and seems to be of fine craftmanship, although I've never seen a come-along that could actually withstand it's rating, no matter what brand. I would feel fine with 1 or 1 1/2 tons though.
