I specifically wanted a round pin anchor shackle with a pin to secure it so I wouldn't have to mess with binding the threaded-type shackle in order to prevent it from unintentionally disconnecting from the anchor. I used these D-Rings to weld onto an equipment trailer to tie down a tractor. I got these so that I could run a hook on a chain through it and hook back to the chain (big enough to do so). Welds great, probably will need 2 passes to get a full weld. Prime and paint quickly after cleaning up welds as the bare metal will start to rust quickly.
