These are neat crates with many uses. We keep a couple of them in the trunks of each of our cars and behind the back seat of our SUVs. I specifically wanted a round pin anchor shackle with a pin to secure it so I wouldn't have to mess with binding the threaded-type shackle in order to prevent it from unintentionally disconnecting from the anchor. I could not find one in my local West Marine store or at Home Depot or Lowes. I also specifically wanted galvanizes because my 10 lb fluke anchor is galvanized and my 3/8" anchor chair is galvanized. This one from Amazon fit my needs perfectly. I used one to connect between the anchor chair and anchor and a second one to connect between the anchor chain and the galvanized eye on the nylon anchor line. I have a secure anchor rode.

I used these D-Rings to weld onto an equipment trailer to tie down a tractor. I got these so that I could run a hook on a chain through it and hook back to the chain (big enough to do so). Welds great, probably will need 2 passes to get a full weld. Prime and paint quickly after cleaning up welds as the bare metal will start to rust quickly.
