My 1955Ferguson tractor was converted to 12volts. The original tachometer was driven by a cable from the back of the generator. I found an alternator with a tach drive output but pulley was 3.2" causing the tach to run 25% to fast. I found this pulley, just the size I needed and it fit perfectly without modifying. Tach runs right on now. Great product and good service.
