I noticed in other reviews that some people complained their hand trucks arrived only wrapped in plastic wrap and had damage to it. They liked the hand truck but suggested you buy it somewhere else. My story is very similar. I took a chance and ordered it anyway, and was very pleased to see a big box outside my front door. I opened it and my smile quickly went away. The hand truck had all the stickers and packaging of a new hand truck, but it was beat up like it had been used for weeks. There were many scratches down to the primer and even the wheels were worn. The worst damage was on the lip where you place the object that needs to be lifted. The hand truck was clearly used before it was shipped. I looked at one of the stickers and saw a date of 03/12. I really hope this thing hadn't been sitting around for over a year and they decided to sell it as new. Anyway, the hand truck itself was very nice and would have been perfect for my needs. I took two stars off for what Amazon did, not for the hand truck. I'm actually VERY surprised because Amazon has never done something like this before, other vendors have, but not Amazon. I really want the hand truck and after some thought I ordered a replacement; I'm holding my breath.
