Motorcycle Wheel Chock 3.5 Inch Review

Overall the chocks work pretty well, though there were some issues with installation. The bolt heads must slot into the slotted washers for this to work properly. I bought 3 of these and found that the thickness of the head varied between two different sizes. One of them was much thicker then the spacing washer, so the head would collide with the bed of the trailer and not slot properly.

I had to take a grinder to about half the screws to make the head of the screws all the same and able to slot properly. The problem is that I think that these are zinc coated and by grinding them I removed the zinc on the screw head tops. Now I suspect they will rust and I will be replacing them with stainless or something else rust resistant.

I also scared up the bed of the trailer under the heads as they were all still thicker then the mounting plates. They are very firm on my trailer when tightened.

In the end, it added over an hour messing with the hardware to to get these to work. They require tightening and loosening the screws to mount and dismount the chocks, though you can leave the base mounts in place.
