Bought 2 dowels in each of 2 woods (Cherry and Walnut). One Dowel of each was excellent, however the second of each had some flaws. I was planning on using these for Ram-rods for Black powder rifles. I can use one of each but the others I'd be afraid of them splitting if used for such a purpose. The price was excellent, but quality was hit and miss.
